Māori working group for Rural broadband initiative appointed

 Māori Affairs Minister Dr Pita Sharples and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Steven Joyce announced on Tuesday the establishment of a seven member Māori Working Group to help steer the rollout of the government’s Rural Broadband Initiative (RBI).

Settlement deed signed between the Crown and Te Maru o Rereahu Trust

Over the weekend the settlement deed was signed between the Crown and Te Maru o Rereahu Trust,  a collective of the following Central North Island iwi; Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Rereahu, and Ngāti Tūwharetoa.
