Former New First List MP Pita Paraone back on the campaign trail.

Former New Zealand First MP Pita Paraone has announced his intentions to stand in the coming General Election.

The two-term list MP in parliament is confident the party will be able to get back over the 5 percent threshold to get into parliament.

Mr Paraone believes there is growing dissatisfaction with the Māori Party which could bring back some votes to New Zealand First.
